Privacy Policy

How SeniorPath handles personal data, cookies, and site preferences.

SeniorPath is a content-focused site. This page explains, in plain language, what limited data may be collected when you browse the site, sign up for updates, or interact with optional features such as comments.

Who controls your data

Fengsoft Servicos em Tecnologia e Educacao LTDA operates SeniorPath. The operator is based in Niteroi, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

What data may be collected

  • Information you choose to send, such as email messages or newsletter signup details when those forms are available
  • Usage data such as visited pages, clicks, scroll depth, timestamps, and navigation paths
  • Technical data such as IP address, browser, device type, language, and operating system
  • Preference data stored in the browser, such as locale choice and reading progress markers
  • Comment-related data if comments are enabled through Giscus and GitHub

How data may be used

  • Operate, maintain, and improve the site and its editorial experience
  • Remember preferences such as language choice and reading progress
  • Measure traffic and understand how visitors use the site through analytics and session replay
  • Respond to messages and process newsletter subscriptions when those flows are used
  • Prevent abuse, investigate incidents, and comply with legal obligations

Cookies, local storage, and analytics

This site uses browser storage to remember language preference and reading progress. It may also use cookies or similar identifiers from Microsoft Clarity to understand navigation patterns, heatmaps, and session replay so the site can be improved.

Third-party services

This site may rely on Cloudflare for hosting and delivery, Microsoft Clarity for analytics and session replay, and Giscus/GitHub for comments when comments are enabled. Those providers may receive technical and usage data necessary to deliver their services.

Operational privacy status

This deployment currently exposes 1 optional integration that should be reviewed before publishing to production.

Enabled integrations and providers

  • Analytics and session replay. Loads analytics tooling that may collect traffic, referral, browser metadata, heatmaps, and session replay data to improve the site experience. External dependency. Origin: https://www.clarity.ms.

Browser storage used by this shell

  • seniorpath.locale-preference.v1: Locale preference used for the shell language switcher. Stored only in the visitor browser.
  • seniorpath.completed-articles.v1: Completed article IDs for progress and next-step recommendations. Stored only in the visitor browser.
  • seniorpath.challenge-code.*: Challenge playground drafts saved locally with a namespaced challenge-code key. Stored only in the visitor browser.
  • seniorpath.challenge-solved.*: Solved challenge flags saved locally with a namespaced challenge-solved key. Stored only in the visitor browser.

Operational privacy checklist

  • Keep the privacy and terms pages aligned with the actual providers, data categories, and retention flows you enable.
  • Review whether comments, newsletter capture, or observability require consent or another lawful basis in the target jurisdiction before publishing.
  • Confirm CSP, form-action, and external origins match every active provider before production.
  • Review the provider terms, moderation policy, retention, and DPA expectations for each external dependency.

Publish blockers to review

  • Legal/support contact is still missing. Publish a contact email before turning third-party features on in production.

Retention and security

Personal data is kept only for as long as reasonably necessary for the related feature, legal duty, or operational need. The site operator applies reasonable technical safeguards, but no internet-connected service can guarantee absolute security.

Your rights

You can request information about the personal data you have shared directly with the site, and you can ask for correction or deletion when applicable. For requests related to data you submitted directly, use the contact channel listed on this page.

Changes to this policy

The operator may update this policy as the product, vendors, or legal requirements change. The current version should always be published on this page with an effective date if your jurisdiction requires it.

Applicable law

This policy should be interpreted under the laws of Brazil, alongside any mandatory privacy or consumer rules that apply to the visitor's location.
